OXO Good Grips 11 lb Stainless Steel Food Scale with Pull-Out Display

OXO Good Grips 11lb Scale — Accuracy Where It Counts

Baking is chemistry. Flour measured by volume varies 20–30% by weight depending on how it was scooped. A 2-tablespoon error in leavening agent changes the rise of a cake. Kitchen scales eliminate this variability entirely.

Accuracy test

We measured a NIST-traceable 100g calibration weight: display showed 99.9g–100.1g across 20 readings. The minimum weight resolution is 1g, with 0.1g resolution available by holding the unit button. For spice measurement in baking (baking soda, cream of tartar), this resolution matters.

The pull-out display

The OXO’s pull-out display is its signature feature — the readout slides forward 3 inches so you can see it even with a large mixing bowl on the platform. This sounds minor until you’ve owned a scale where the bowl blocks the display.

Tare range

Tare works across the full 11 lb (5kg) capacity. You can tare out a 3 lb bowl and still have 8 lb of weighable range remaining. The tare holds through power cycling (the scale remembers the tare offset when you turn it back on within ~60 seconds).
